clear: both; width:100%;\"><\/div><div class=\"kc-elm kc-css-726313 kc_text_block\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <strong>Rheophysics and Porous Materials<\/strong> team is composed of 14 researchers, 4 engineers and technicians and around fifteen doctoral and postdoctoral researchers. We are experts in the study and the modelling of divided matter: solid particles, drops, bubbles stacked, or suspended in one or several fluids. We combine experimental, theoretical and finite-element numerical approaches in our studies. Our objects of interest are athermal granular media, pastes, colloidal and non-colloidal suspensions, foams and bubbly media, gels, fibrous materials, capillary systems, porous &#8212; notably bio-based &#8212; materials, &#8230; We mostly work with model materials, designed so that they represent a simplified, generic version of a broad class of materials under study, with clearly identified and well-controlled physical properties. Studying these systems allows a quantitative comparison with simple physical models or numerical simulations designed specifically for them. We aim to find generic, quantitative information from these systems and offer guidance in the design and formulation of a large range of materials in the construction, environment and energy
