He graduated from the National University of Civil Engineering (Vietnam) in 2001 and completed his PhD in geotechnics in 2005 at the ENPC. His Habilitation (HDR, accreditation to supervise research), completed in 2012 at Universit\u00e9 Paris-Est (France), was on the behaviour of the soil under coupled thermo-hydro-mechanical loading and its applications in energy and environment.
