Research topics

My research concern physics and physico-chemistry of material and their application to civil engineering materials. I search to establish the link between the macroscopic properties of the materials and their microscopic origin, in order to predict their mechanical characteristics as function of the physico-chemistry of the system.
In the last years, I have been more particularly interested in the link between formulation, microstructure and material properties, by declining this approach on different subjects:

  • Formulation and physico-chemistry of materials
  • Complex fluids : dense colloidal suspensions, emulsions, aerated materials
  • Rheology
  • Confocal microscopy
