Title: PhD in Granular Media Mechanics and Liquid Foams
The injection of liquid foam into granular materials plays a crucial role in various industrial and environmental processes, from soil remediation to excavation stabilization. This PhD research aims to investigate the mechanical behavior of these complex systems, where the interaction between grains and liquid foam directly influences cohesion and rheology. The project will leverage advanced experimental techniques (X-ray tomography, rheometry, synchrotron imaging) and numerical simulations to characterize the evolution of microstructure and flow properties. This research will be conducted at the Navier Laboratory in collaboration with experts in rheophysics and porous media.
