Geotechnical structures

Researches cover a wide range of applications including railway geotechnics, tunnelling in squeezing ground, offshore wind turbine foundations, energy piles, hydraulic structures, reinforced soil and, more recently, extra-terrestrial soil mechanics. They aim at improving existing methods of design and analysis, and ensuring the stability and durability of structures through advanced laboratory experiments, physical modelling, material characterization, analysis of in-situ measurements and numerical analyses.
