After completing the GCC-Archi program at École des Ponts and conducting my master’s thesis project within the laboratory, I began my PhD in September 2025 on the reuse of concrete elements. The thesis addresses two key questions related to this topic : the residual properties of reinforced concrete elements at the time of deconstruction, and the need for a better understanding of the types of concrete materials present in the urban mine. Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodology will be used to evaluate — or challenge — the environmental relevance of this practice. The methods employed throughout the PhD will combine experimental work (tests on reinforced concrete elements recovered from deconstruction) and documentary research in archival sources.
