Hi! I am a doctoral candidate working on the design and construction of a full-scale test rig to simulate moving train loads for the investigation of the fatigue behavior of railway track components. The project focuses on Les Lignes de Desserte Fine du Territoire (LDFT), which play a key role in the French railway network and connect national main lines to local territories. This work is carried out in collaboration with the engineering company Ingerop as part of the A-RTT project. The objective is to build test track and evaluate innovative materials and solutions aimed at reducing carbon emissions and costs for LDFT regeneration. The test rig uses dynamic hydraulic jack loads to reproduce repeated moving loads on the test track. Analytical and finite element models are developed to define the loading conditions and design the loading frame. will be used to analyze material performance and to develop qualification procedures.
